R Kelly Looking for Investors to Fund More Trapped in the Closet
R Kelly has written 32 new chapters of Trapped in the Closet!
The R&B star first treated us to the musical mini-drama
in 2005, when he released the original chapters of his “hip-hopera”. With his
tongue firmly in his cheek, R Kelly sang his way through a series of increasingly
ridiculous situations, as he becomes tangled in a web of love affairs, deceit and
lies… and cherry pie!
The last of the 22 chapters was released in 2007 and
featured the cliff-hanger “to be continued,” signalling that R Kelly was not
finished with the story. Now, after four years of waiting, we hope that we will
be treated to some more genius Trapped
episodes in the near future!
The singer told TMZ
that whilst he already has his plans for the new chapters mapped out, he won’t
be producing them until he finds the funding. Speaking from his car he told a
reporter: “I’ve always wanted to be a movie director so that’s what I’m working
on so that’s pretty much my movie director seeping out through my music, that’s
the best way to put it. Trapped in the Closet… I got 32 more chapters that I’m
trying to put out. It costs a lot of money to do… so we’re actually looking for
investors.”
Let’s hope he finds the money soon! We can’t wait to see
what he comes up with next.
