US Push Harry Styles To Be One Direction Frontman To Secure Stateside Success – But Harry Doesn’t Want To

They are huge over here, and now it appears One Direction will be a big hit over in America.

The band, who are currently on the other side of the pond, are apparently doing very well. They are currently filming a cameo for the hit Nickelodeon show iCarly.

However, despite being excited about making waves in America, the boys aren’t happy about something.

According to reports, US record executives are trying their best to encourage Harry Styles to take the lead of the band. Columbia Music has claimed that One Direction will be a massive success over in the states if the spotlight is put on Harry.

An insider has said:

'They decided long ago that Harry is a natural front man. He's funny, confident and has a great voice.'

However, Harry and his One Direction band mates, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson, have all insisted that they don’t want to change their set-up.

A friend of the band told the Daily Star:

'They are determined to carry on the way they have been - without a lead singer. Harry certainly hasn't asked for all this attention.'
