Amy Childs and Harry Derbidge are reported to be starring in a remake of Paris
Hilton’s hit reality TV show The Simple
Life.
The new show follows the axing of Child’s solo project, All About Amy, which was slated by the
critics and lasted just one series. The new series has been dubbed The
Simpleton Life in homage to the US version of the show.
A source told The Sun:
“The show will be just like The Simple Life but, dare I say it, even more
ridiculous.
“Amy and Harry are not exactly known for their ability to do
everyday tasks so it’s a car crash waiting to happen.
“In fairness, they are quite funny as a duo and bosses are
hoping their daft chemistry will keep people entertained.”
The new Channel 5 show will see the cousins tackle ordinary
life and attempt a variety of jobs in the way that Paris Hilton and Nicole
Richie did between 2003 and 2007. The Sun
reports that tasks will include deep sea fishing in the Outer Hebrides, mining
in Wales and mucking out stables in an American Ranch.
