Russell Brand waives any claim to Katy Perry’s Fortune
It’s officially the
end…of Katy Perry and Russell Brand's marriage that is!
Singer Katy Perry
and comedian Russell Brand are officially no longer married.
The couples divorce
has now been finalised and signed by Superior Court judge Marc Marmaro who
signed the judgement after the former couple submitted the paperwork detailing
their settlement.
The pair have finally settled their issues and split their assets. According to
TMZ.com, the pair have reached a
'comprehensive written settlement.'
Despite the comedian
being legally entitled to half of Katy’s earnings, he waived any claim to the
money his former wife made during their marriage. According to Forbes, Russell is worth a relatively
small £4million while Katy is
estimated to be worth about £45million.
The judgement also
gave Katy her maiden name of Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson, back. In addition to
keeping her money and her identity, the agreement also covers distribution of
their property.
According to
reports, the court papers which have emerged, shows the singer has signed the
legal documents ending with an upbeat 'smiley face.'
We knew it was going to happen but it’s still very sad.
